Beach Volleyball Sponsorship
In just under 40 years, Beach Volleyball has grown from a recreational pastime for surf lifesavers in California to a fully-fledged international Olympic sport, and continues to be one of the fastest growing sports worldwide. New Zealand’s top teams compete regularly in Australia, Asia and around the world and NZ are the current Asian Champions in Men’s Beach Volleyball. Crocs was proud to become a gold sponsor of this year’s New Zealand Beach Volleyball Pro Tour. The tour ran during January and took place on the beaches of Matarangi, Wellington, Ohope and Mount Maunganui ending with the finale at the ASB Tennis centre in Auckland. The tour saw top teams from New Zealand, America, Estonia and the Philippines battle it out on the sand with Kiwis Jason Lochhead and Kirk Pitman winning the men’s title and the American team, Tracy Lindquist and Ashley Ivy, winning the women’s. Crocs would like to congratulate ‘Team Crocs’ on their great effort at the tour. Sam and Edwin Odea, ‘Team Crocs’ are New Zealand’s youngest Pro Beach Volleyballers. They are two rising stars in Beach Volleyball and had great success in making the final event in Auckland in their debut at the New Zealand Beach Volleyball Pro Tour. Lucky visitors at the events received spot prizes of Crocs shoes, t-Shirts, caps and Jibbitz in spot prizes. Watch this space for more exciting Crocs sponsorships…

Jeremy Corbett’s hugely popular radio contest goes live and takes to the stage for a night of riotous entertainment and rapier wit. This is where men from the audience do their best to prove their skills and independence (with their wives’ permission of course) and women do their best to assert their dominance of the species while making the men believe it was their idea in the first place. Total participation is the key and Jeremy and his celebrity team will be aiming to find out if there really is a pool of designer genes, and just which chromosome is on top more often. Expect intellectual discourse about loo seats being left up and whether applying lip-gloss while using the cellphone at the wheel of a semi-trailer constitutes the ultimate in women’s lib, multi-tasking gone mad or just the actions of a very strange man indeed.
